ABOUT US

After over 11 years of working for architectural practices in London and Brighton, I set up my own practice at the beginning of 2010. Since then I have undertaken office projects and a large number of residential projects. These residential projects include new build single houses, large scale renovations, loft conversions, extensions, work on listed buildings and within conservation areas, and a much larger development of 27 houses and flats.

 

In 2019 I created Paul Reed Architects Ltd. We act as Lead Designer on all projects and manage Consultants, Surveyors, Architects (or Architectural Technicians) and Engineers and when needed on each individual project, depending on the size and scope of the work involved.

 

We have worked on a number of projects lead by builders, project managers and design and build companies. We understand the necessity of teamwork and respect the particular skills of each member of the team during the design phase and on site. Teamwork and understanding is essential to a smooth, stress free running of a project.

Previous work for other companies includes being part of the design team on the award winning St Pancras Station redevelopment, site coordinator for Big Brother 2010, designs for a new reception area and conference suite for Amex House, a school sports hall, interior design for a coffee shop, designs for renovating the Metway Studios for the band The Levellers including a copper clad penthouse (unfortunately the planners didn’t like this) and a wide variety of residential work including blocks of new build flats, new build houses, converting houses to flats, interior renovations and extensions.

Your project:

 

A brief consultation will help develop your initial thoughts into a design brief. We will discuss your time frame, budget and above all your ideas, tastes and functional requirements for the project. From this we can look at the way forward and plan a route as risk and stress free as possible to achieve the finished product. I will then give you a break down of my fees and what you pay for in terms of my services. There is obviously no obligation should you decide not to go ahead with the project.
