Double Side Return Extensions in West Hill Conservation Area, Brighton

We undertake all kinds of extensions, and in Brighton and Hove in particular, side return extensions are very popular. With this project (or double project), both neighbours in the West Hill Conservation area wanted to build one, and so we designed both at the same time.

The advantage of this is that we only needed to build one separating wall, meaning more space for each client.

The designs were undertaken to each client's individual needs (different internal layouts and elevational treatment) but were similar in style and sympathetic to the conservation area.

Maximizing glass was important to both clients, and both extensions incorporate a patent glazing full glass roof flooding the kitchens with light.

Planning permission flew through, all construction details and specifications were then undertaken, and both are now being built. Really looking forward to seeing them complete!
