An exciting eco-house in early stages of design in the Mid Sussex countryside. Design development is underway for this 5 bed house, looking at various massing and layout options. The current design centres around a feature Tulip tree while maximising eco potential and creating a fluid layout. The existing house is to be demolished with the footprint retained (to reduce waste) and tanked to be used as a contemplation water garden area. A visitors / office annex is also planned. We are currently looking at exploring a combination of green roofs, copper cladding and timber. South facing glass retains views and benefits form solar gains in winter, with overhanging elements to reduce solar gain in summer.
